Major Lisa Jaster, an Army Reserve officer and West Point graduate became the third woman to graduate from the Army's famed Ranger School earlier this month. She, along with Capt. Kristen Griest and 1st Lt. Shaye Haver, are the only three women to graduate from the school from the class of 19 women that began back in April.
Maj. Jaster began her military career in 2000 at Fort Stewart serving in the 92nd Engineer Battalion, and also deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan before entering the Reserves in 2007. She is currently an engineer with Shell Oil, and an Army Reserve individual mobilization augmentee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers based in Huntsville, Alabama. Her husband, Allan Jaster, is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve and also served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
